Omega
Constellation Daydate
Integrated bracelet / 1969

Intro

This Omega Constellation Automatic Daydate from 1969 features an unique integrated bracelet, silver vertically brushed dial and a classic coin bezel.

The integrated bracelet will fit a wrist up to around 19.5cm.  This is truly a beautiful piece that any watch collector can appreciate.

Story

Contemporary to the original Speedmaster, Seamaster, Railmaster, and DeVille collections, the Constellation stood out as a premium option, boasting Omega's finest chronometer precision movements.

The Constellation derived its name from the emblem on the caseback, depicting an observatory with eight stars positioned above it. These eight stars represent two chronometer records and six first-place awards that Omega garnered between 1933 and 1952. The significance of the two chronometer records was particularly notable; Omega achieved world records for precision in all categories at the Kew-Teddington Observatory in 1933 and repeated this feat in 1936.

Omega has crafted countless Constellation models over the years, showcasing a diverse array of case shapes and dial designs. This specific model adopts an integrated case and bracelet style, unmistakably inspired by the work of Gerald Genta.
