Intro
This vintage Rolex Oysterdate Precision manual winding watch from 1970s is a real beauty to see in person. With is glossy black dial and silver hands/indexes.
Story
The Oysterdate first appeared in the 1960s and remained one of the brand’s least well-known series until it was finally discontinued in the late 80s.
The manual-winding distinction really sets the Oysterdate apart from just about everything else that has passed through the Rolex gates, since it is, and was always, a manually-wound timepiece. Incredibly, for the company that invented the perpetual, self-winding movement, the Oysterdate was never fitted with an automatic caliber, even towards the end of its run in the 80s.
Instead, the Cal. 1225 purrs away inside, a 17-jewel mechanism with a 21,600bph frequency.

If for any reason delivery is rejected upon delivery, the total shipping fee, custom duty, and a 10% restocking fee of the value of the item will apply.

Size
Vintage watches are generally smaller than modern watches. Although our measurements are only approximates, they are a good indicator for the buyer to see if the smaller size will be an issue or not.
Servicing
If a watch is not specifically indicated as "Serviced", we do not have its service history and cannot guarantee its accuracy. We highly recommend it to be serviced by a watchmaker for regular use.

Accuracy indicated in the Condition section is only based on 12 hours timegrapher test in one position (movement up or dial up). This is just a reference to help buyer understands the condition of the movement. We cannot guarantee its actual accuracy, and in our experience real world performance will be different.
