Intro
This Universal Geneve Polerouter Date from 1960s features its iconic layered index ring. This is truly a beautiful piece that any watch collector can appreciate. This watch has been serviced by our local watchmaker at the end of 2021.
Story
One of Genta’s most stunning contributions to watch design is also one of his earliest, occurring nearly two decades before his work with Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe. As the story goes, in 1954, Universal Genève tapped Genta–then just 23-years old–to design a watch to commemorate SAS’s (Scandinavian Airlines Systems) polar flights from New York/Los Angeles directly to Europe. That watch would come to be known as the Polerouter–later renamed to Polerouter–and it would spawn a highly successful family of watches for Universal Genève.

Rejected Delivery
If for any reason delivery is rejected upon delivery, the total shipping fee, custom duty, and a 10% restocking fee of the value of the item will apply.

Size
Vintage watches are generally smaller than modern watches. Although our measurements are only approximates, they are a good indicator for the buyer to see if the smaller size will be an issue or not.
Servicing
If a watch is not specifically indicated as "Serviced", we do not have its service history and cannot guarantee its accuracy. We highly recommend it to be serviced by a watchmaker for regular use.
Accuracy
Accuracy indicated in the Condition section is only based on 12 hours timegrapher test in one position (movement up or dial up). This is just a reference to help buyer understands the condition of the movement. We cannot guarantee its actual accuracy, and in our experience real world performance will be different.
